Two operating vending machines finally arrived at Andrew Warde High School 35 years ago this month. That was the headline story in the March 16, 1976 issue of The Crimson Crier.
According to the article, the machines were originally scheduled to be installed before the February vacation, but problems with a gate delayed the opening plans. The school council voted to support a committee to look into the possibility of getting vending machines in the Fall of 1975. The committee, chaired by Sam Sylvetsky, worked closely with headmaster Mr. Robert Genualdi.
